Real-time 1v1 strategy duel

Bid for players, build your squad, win a live 1v1 duel.

DueliX is a short, real-time strategy duel for two. Both players draft from the same card pool; every card opens at the same base price and goes to a live open auction. Where you spend your budget — and which cards you push or let go — shapes your squad. When the rosters are full the server plays the match, and the result screen tells you why you won or lost.

ways to play: open auction and price duel

  1. The pool

    Same cards, same starting price.

Both of you draft from one pool, and every card opens at the same base price. What decides the squad is not luck of the draw but where each of you spends.

  2. The auction

Raise, pass, or go all in.

Every bid restarts a five-second clock. Push the price on a card you don't even want, or let it go and save for the next. If you can't afford to raise, the rival takes it at the last bid.

    The rival leads
  3. Sold

    The hammer comes down.

Squads are five players. Once one side is full, the cards left over go to the other for free — so filling up early is a strategy, and so is waiting.

  4. Practice

A bot to learn on, a friend to beat.

Quick match finds you a rival; practice puts you against a bot in either mode; an invite code brings a friend straight into your duel. Rematch keeps the series score.

  5. The squads

    Both teams, at a glance.

Who went where and for how much, with seven emotes for the moments that call for one. Drop out and the game plays on for you until you're back.

One codebase

The same duel on a phone or in a browser.

DueliX is written once with Expo and runs on iOS, Android and the web — the same screens, the same rules, the same server.

Full time

Not just a score: the reasons.

The server plays the match on a deterministic engine, the same core the phones run, replayable from its seed. Then the result screen stamps a draft grade and walks through the factors — MVP, best and worst buys, budget left — so the next auction goes better.

A victory, 5–2, with an A draft grade and the reasons behind it
A defeat, 2–5, with a C draft grade and what went wrong

How it's built

Deterministic at the core.

One Expo codebase for iOS, Android and the web, animated with Reanimated. The live game runs server-authoritative on Colyseus; the rules live in a pure TypeScript core shared by client and server, so any match can be replayed from its seed. Tested with golden files, two-player Playwright runs, and bot-against-bot soak and chaos runs.
