For Dubai
Everything, second-hand.
It started with fashion and now spans electronics, home, sports and beauty. Each category has its own fields and its own condition wording, so a phone's battery health and a dress's size are spelled out on the listing.

Money held safe
Paid out only once you've checked it.
The money is held, not paid to the seller, until the item has reached you and you've checked it; if something's wrong, the team hears both sides and decides. Delivery runs through the app, by courier or by a handover in person confirmed with a code.

Offers
Make an offer, and it's held on your card.
When you make an offer, the amount is held on your card: if the seller accepts, the item is sold on the spot; if not, the hold is released. There's no private chat. Questions are asked in public under the listing, and phone numbers and bank details are blocked automatically.

Search
Search that understands what you mean.
Search matches meaning, not just words: ask for comfortable shoes for walking and it finds sneakers, with items close in meaning shown alongside. A query typed in Arabic can find a listing written in English.

Three languages
Three languages, two directions.
The app speaks Arabic, fully right to left, as well as English and Turkish: in Arabic the layout, the icons and the type mirror, and headings have their own Arabic typeface. Listings written in English are machine-translated into Arabic, marked as such, one tap from the original.

For sellers
A report on your closet.
Sellers see how their closet is doing: views, likes, offers, sales and the average time to sell. Badges such as Quick replies, Fast shipping and Trusted seller are computed from real questions, offers and orders, so they can't be bought.

On the phone, and on the web
Liquid Glass on iOS.
On iOS 26 the app is built on Liquid Glass: a tab bar that shrinks as you scroll, glass top bars and a glass buy bar; Android gets surfaces of its own. Both apps are in testing, and the same marketplace runs as a live demo on the web at secondo.ae, where payments and delivery are simulated.

How it's built
One monorepo for the web, iOS and Android.
Next.js 16 on the web and Expo with React Native on the phone, in one pnpm and Turborepo monorepo, over Supabase Postgres with row-level security, scheduled jobs and tests that run inside the database. The search and translation features run on Google Vertex AI.

One source for the design
Colour, type, spacing, motion and the glass material live in one tokens file; the web and mobile styles are generated from it, and a test goes red if they fall out of date. A contrast gate checks 348 colour pairs against WCAG in every direction and theme, and deliberately broken examples prove that the gate really fails.
States that change in one step
Orders, payments and offers change state inside the database, in atomic transactions: accepting an offer opens the order in the same transaction and reserves the listing for that one order. In a race between two sessions one wins and the other is turned away. A 12-scenario rehearsal drives a real browser through the real pages, from purchase to dispute.
